BEING "WOKE" IS NOT A BAD THING

If we stay alert, we might survive alive as a nation:

If you believe in the idea that trump's version of the republican party is pushing that being "woke" means we are somehow backwards, and not seeing the truth, then this most definitely is not the right thing for your sensitive eyes and delicate sensibilities to be reading.

I propose a different meaning to that recently approved definition. Being "woke" in my opinion is the idea that we see the bullshit. We as woke people know that the election of 2020 was NOT stolen, and that all the political machinations of the trump/republican circus cannot change that fact.

Think about it people; all of the bogus lawsuits filed on behalf of the twice impeached (yet unconvicted) president, this begs the question why unconvicted I will get to that later in this essay, if the election was indeed fraught with massive voter fraud they would have had the support of the courts. However, in every case presented in each of the contested states none of the cases presented by Rudy's travelling circus presented anything other than opinions based on wild accusations and therefore all but laughed out of each and every courtroom.

If the trump/republican party truly had the proof of their beliefs and convictions they would have been able to illegally keep a person in an office that he had been fairly and lawfully voted out of. Mitch McConnell in an address to the Senate after voting to acquit trump made the following statements on the senate floor.

  • Fellow Americans beat and bloodied our own police. They stormed the Senate floor. They tried to hunt down the Speaker of the House. They built a gallows and chanted about murdering the vice president. They did this because they had been fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on Earth – because he was angry he'd lost an election.
  • Let me put that to the side for one moment and reiterate something I said weeks ago: There is no question that president trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of that day.
  • It was also the entire manufactured atmosphere of looming catastrophe; the increasingly wild myths about a reverse landslide election that was being stolen in some secret coup by our now-president.
  • I defended the president's right to bring any complaints to our legal system. The legal system spoke. The Electoral College spoke. As I stood up and said clearly at the time, the election was settled.

Here, granted it only lasted long enough to come out of his mouth, McConnell showed the beginning signs of being woke, as did anyone in either house of congress who spoke out against the actions of trump and his human centipede.

Now I know that a group of baboons is called a troop, but allow me to submit the following as a nod towards a more realistic view of the trump/republican party:

"Now consider a group of baboons. They are the loudest, most dangerous, most obnoxious, most viciously aggressive and least intelligent of all primates. And what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons? Believe it or not ... a Congress! I guess that pretty much explains the things that come out of Washington!"

Sounds about right to describe the party of trump and his blindly obedient followers. Now as someone very important to me just pointed out, calling his followers baboons is an insult to the species of baboons, for which I would like to apologize, to the baboons.

So now I have a question for Mitch and the rest of the trump party which chose to effectively throw away an imperfect but functioning Democracy for, or because of, the lies pushed upon us by the former president who would not and still cannot/will not accept the fact that he is a loser in the political arena. This individual only wants to destroy the freedoms that my family for generations, and others to include myself have fought to uphold.

First question, in several parts: If you truly felt this strongly where was the courage of your convictions, why did you not vote for impeachment? The country is now and was then already divided because of the actions taken by the former president while in office. Yet almost to a man, you cowards voted to acquit an individual whom you yourself stated was practically, and morally responsible for provoking the events of 1/6/2021. I have my suspicions, but only when you and others put reason, not excuses, to your actions will the reality of the beliefs of the trump party come into the light.

Secondly; Is the ultimate desire of the "trump" right to return us to the original misogynistic beliefs of the founders? If so then this is the warning call of the lone voice crying out in the wilderness to stop the bullshit. If the spoken words of the trump worshipping party members could be turned into fertilizer then we would have no problem with going to 100% organic farming around the world. What comes out of the mouths of the trump party could potentially take us back to the days when if you weren't a rich white landowner then you didn't have the right to vote, among other things.

If the answer to the second question is yes then look out people. The indentured servitude of the medieval days will return and those not deemed worthy of freedom will be forced into it. What was once believed to be a thing of the past will (or could) potentially come back into play as well, that institution is outright enslavement of the masses of any color that is not white. Now I realize that the argument I am making is a slippery slope argument, but we have been on this slope since the days of Nixon, at least.

I feel the need to clarify my last comment, just because an argument is based in the slippery slope theory does not mean that it will not or cannot happen. No matter how unlikely it may seem to you, what is happening now in the supreme court and the houses of congress is an affront and an outright attack on the fundamental freedoms that some of us have taken for granted for far too long. Take a serious look back at the progress we had made prior to the 2017 inauguration of then president trump, now take the time to look even deeper into the abyss that has become the political right and truly see where they are leading you sheeple. The end result is America becomes the newest and only member of the superpower third world. Well, except for maybe trumps hero uncle vladdy in Moscow.

If this is what the vast majority of trump's Americans want, then I have just become a traitor to their country and a patriot for mine. I refused for many years to believe that this would pr could actually happen here in a nation founded with the belief that coming here would relieve the burdens of oppression in their countries of origin. Now that I have found myself firmly placed into the category of "woke" I will GLADLY and PROUDLY wear that moniker as proudly as I do my Veteran status which I earned by serving my country and defending its founding document.

Unfortunately there is no way to fact check my opinions simply because they are just that opinions, that will need to be time checked for accuracy in the future. If time doesn't bear out what I have said here there will be no apologies because I believe in my opinion, and there is no telling how long it may take for the aforementioned actions to come to pass if they ever do. Either way do not expect me to apologize for what I have said here. The trump followers don't and aren't expected to, and I don't particularly care to be the bigger person in this.

Thank you and good night. Peace
